Blue Lagoon - Pontefract UK

Martin & Sharon Ainsworth, both PADI Course Director / EFR Instructor Trainers are owners of the Blue Lagoon Dive Centre at Pontefract in the North-East of England. The Blue Lagoon is part of Above & Below Dive Centre.
Set in 32 acres, this ex dolomite quarry is a relatively new dive site with 16 acres of spring fed water.
The Blue Lagoon, Pontefract is a PADI 5 star instructor development centre.
There is ample car parking, dive shop, cafe', changing areas and kit servicing facilities. Nitrox & Trimix fills are avaliable alongside air all to 300 bar.
We visit and see what it has to offer the diver or someone who is just starting out in this exhilarating hobby.

Greenaway Marine Video Housings

This small engineering company in South-west England produces underwater housings for video cameras and is able to manufacture on a custom basis.
We talk to Gerald Greenaway and tour the workshops to see how these housings are made and see why they are so reliable.

John Bantin - Dive Journalist

John Bantin is a veteran of the diving community and has been writing, travelling the world and taking underwater photographs since the early 1990's and spends an average of 30 hours a month scuba-diving.
John writes for UK Diver Magazine, and its online sister publication Divernet as well as DYK (Sweden & Denmark), Undercurrent and other diving magazines.
We catch up with him at one of the UKs dive shows at the NEC in Birmingham to hear about life as a diving journalist.

Otter Drysuits - Bradford, UK

We visit family run firm Otter Watersports in the former textile industry city of Bradford, North England and speak to founder John Womack senior about drysuits.
He tells us how he started making them, how to care for them and how they are handmade by his staff from cardboard patterns, some of which are over two decades old.
